EXCEPTIONAL GERMAN SYSTEM AYDT .22LR CAL. SCHUETZEN RIFLE SIGNED CARL GROSS OF ESSLINGEN. CIRCA LATE 1920’S. 49” overall with 32” octagon/fluted blued barrel signed in panel “CARL GROSS ESSLINGEN”. Original case hardened Schutzen tang sight and ramp front sight. Ornate game scene relief engraving on the case hardened frame and loading lever. Lever bow inlaid with inlaid silver scroll monogram “SA”. Relief game scene and oak leaf engraved and checkered walnut stock and forend. All original and excellent plus with approximately 95% the original blue and case hardening. Stock and forend with all the original finish. Perfect working order and near mint bore. Extra nice pre WW2 Schutzen in very desirable .22 Long Rifle caliber. "5,3mm" stamped under forend along with "SS" and "S" in shield and eagle proof. "B" under crown on right side of receiver.
