Description:
Known as the "rifleman's rifle," the model 70 has been popular throughout history with hunters, and has also seen use from law enforcement and military snipers. Shooting Times magazine awarded the Winchester 70 the title "Gun of the Century" in 1999. Chambered in .220 Swift, an extremely fast moving and accurate round. This model 70 features a checkered wood stock and 25 inch barrel. Edge wear can be seen on the barrel and receiver finish, but the bluing is in good shape overall, and the rifling is strong and clean, ready for any hunt or range you take it to. Included in this package is a vintage 3-9 power scope, perfect for those long distance shots. A great all-around rifle, and a great addition to any collection. This model 70 is a coveted pre-'64 rifle, by which all other rifles are judged!
