Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Certified Check, Money Order Description: Pre-WWI Luger Pistol by DWM of Berlin, Germany Chambered for the Original Luger Cartridge Here we present a DWM Luger Pistol, made circa the 1910s in Berlin, Germany. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. There are many variations in this field of collecting, but relatively few major changes in overall design from beginning to end. The Luger is certainly one of the most iconic firearms in history, made so by its association with Germany during both World Wars. This Luger Pistol was made by DWM circa the 1910s. The toggle bears a very faint “DWM” monogram. The deeply set marking has been mostly buffed out and reblued. This pistol appears to have been rebarreled and refinished in blue long ago, likely to continue its service life in some official military or police capacity. Commercial proofs throughout. The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces retain about 50% blue finish. The markings are mostly legible. The serial numbers are matching on the frame, chamber, take down lever, side plate, safety, toggle, trigger, transfer bar, sear. Grips have been on the pistol for a long time but do not match. Barrel is an unnumbered replacement. The magazine is a WWII German military issued example. The grips are in good condition, smooth with wear and use. The bore is very fine, sharp and bright. The action is excellent. Here is a very functional example of the iconic German Luger Pistol! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches. Caliber: .30 Luger (7.65x21mm Parabellum) Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee.
