Description:
My research of the gun shows it was manufactured in the 30's. The M2 variant had an adjustable headspace feature on the bolt. The retaining screw was hidden under a replaceable lead plug on the lug face. After installation, an eagle was stamped on the plug to indicate that the headspacing may have been tampered with by someone other than the appropriate armorer. The plug shows what appears to be the eagle stamp.
