Description:
This Browning B-78 High Wall falling block rifle is chambered for 45-70 Gov’t. It was built between 1973 and 1975. It has a 24” blued octagonal barrel with a taper of 1-1/8” to ¾”. The finish is in very good condition as is the bore. The front sight is fixed and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation, both are set in dovetails. This rifle uses a self cocking action in great condition. The blued finish on the receiver, hammer, and lever is unmarred and the breech block has seen very little wear. The P+ grade walnut forend and buttstock have tiny scattered dents, but the high gloss finish is undamaged. The buttstock has checkering at the wrist and a blued crescent buttplate in great condition. The forend is held in place by three undamaged screws and has checkering as well. The length of pull is 13-½”, the overall length is 40”, and the weight is 7.8 lbs. Our stock number is #A283. Willing to ship anywhere in the US to your FFL, buyer pays freight and insurance.
