Description:
This is a wonderful example of a Large Bore German or Austrian Stalking Rifle in approx .50 Caliber. Stock is full length and with what appears to be the original ramrod and even the original sling which is quite dry and needs some TLC. This rifle does not appear to have been used much at all and still has its original removeable tang peep sight with adjustable disc aperture. Lock is unmarked and we can find no proofs or markings to indicate maker (we have not dismounted the barreled action - that will be up to the buyer). The original condition of this rifle, from the 1800's, is superb to say the least. I cannot stress enough the excellent original condition of this rifle but you may see from the photos just what we mean.
