Factory Master Engraved and A. Marechal Signed Belgian Browning Pointer Grade Superposed Shotgun with Case
Manufactured in 1961.This is a very fine example of a mater engraved Browning pointer grade featuring full coverage fine scroll engraving surrounding highly detailed hunting dog scenes on the receiver sides, two quail on the underside, and a pheasant in flight on the trigger guard. Both sides of the receiver are signed "A. MARECHAL". The barrels have a single bead sight on the matte rib, standard markings and proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and full/modified chokes. The action has a gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. With multi-point checkered forearm with matching engraved fittings, and pistol grip stock with a Browning buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .729/.729 inch; minimum wall thickness .030/.030 inch; drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 1/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.. With Browning takedown case.
Condition: Excellent. 97% plus original blue finish remains on the barrels with some light marks from the forearm and a few light surface dings. The wood is also excellent with very attractive figure and crisp checkerin. Mechanically excellent.
