Serial #304852, 5.56mm NATO (.223), 20" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is the larger, K2 model carbine that uses an AK-type gas piston with rotary locking bolt, as opposed to the compact K1A1 carbine that utilizes direct gas impingement as found in the M-16 family of rifles. This example Stoeger Arms marked example has seen very little use with 98-99% of the original dull gray parkerized finish remaining. There is very little wear or finish loss, although there is an area with several tiny peen marks on the left side of the lower receiver that also has a dark spot of varnish covering them. The black plastic forend, pistol grip, and side-folding buttstock are also in excellent shape with only some light handling marks present. The rifle comes with a single 30 round magazine. These are well-made, and relatively hard to find carbines whose importation into the U.S. ended in 1986. This example is in excellent, little-used condition. FFL
