Description:
Serial #31235, .22 RF, 3 1/8" octagon barrel with a very good, lightly freckled bore. This is a nice little revolver that has about 10% of the original silver plate remaining on the darkly tarnished brass frame. The silver that remains has itself tarnished to colors ranging from bright blue to pale brownish green. The barrel and cylinder have traces of bright, original blue remaining on protected areas, but the majority has turned to a dark, freckled gray patina with some bright silvering along the edges. The walnut grips are in very good shape with light surface blemishes and minor handling marks, as well as flaking of the thick, original varnish. The lock-up is good, with some minor lateral play of the barrel, and the action is fully functional. The Americans Standard is one of the nicer, and better made S&W No. 1 clones, and this example is in very good overall condition. Antique
