Description:
A very nice Winchester model 1866 saddle ring carbine.Built in 1870,this rifle is in original condition.It has a 20" barrel with a very good bore with no pitting and good rifling.The barrel still retains around 50% of the original blue and the original flip up sight.The receiver has a nice even brass patina and has not been buffed.The wood has shrunk slightly with age,,but is no cracked or damaged.The lever is smooth and functions perfectly.The rifle is chambered for 44 rimfire.This is a fine example of the early 66 carbine for the Winchester collector.Classified as an antique so it can be shipped direct.
