Description:
This little rifle has almost certainly been refinished judging from the dark spots under the finish. However, it was well done. The appearance of roughness on the received is caused by the light reflection. It is actually very nice and smooth.
It is a bit picky regarding ammo and does NOT like anything but the round nose bullet. Any of the bullets that have even the slightest shoulder will cause an occasional failure to fire because the bolt is not fully closed. I suppose a new recoil spring would heal it quite nicely but I've had my fun with it and now want to move on to the next toy.
Would consider working out some kind of deal for a Remington Model 514.
