Description:

IMPERIAL GERMAN 1889 Infantry Officer’s Sword

Emperor Wilhelm II Marked Degen

Here we present a Prussian 1889 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword, manufactured circa 1900. This sword is characterized by its saber hilt and straight blade. The blade is double fullered. The folding guard and grip each bear Imperial German regalia like the eagle with Emperor Wilhelm the Second’s “II” on each. It was worn by infantry officers through World War I.

The overall condition is good. The length of the blade is 30 inches. The wire wrap on the grip remains complete and tight. Rayskin is a bit thin on the high points.
