Manufactured in 1968 to commemorate the Illinois Sesquicentennial (1818-1968), It featured a blue finish, with gold plated butt plate, trigger, saddle ring, loading gate and commemorative bronze medallion set in the butt stock. The rifle has been fired but remains in excellent condition. It retains approximately 95% of its original finish with some light freckling on the lever and some finish loss on the butt plate. The butt stock has some handling marks but the forearm is pretty clean. Overall a very good pre crossbolt safety saddle ring carbine that would make a good shooter, hunter, or look nice hanging above the fireplace.
