RARE ALL ORIGINAL 1960 BROWNING SUPERPOSED 28 GA. 26.5" BARRELS
DESCRIPTION:
The biggest news for the Browning Superposed in 1960 was the addition of the 28 gauge version of the Superposed. This listing is for one of the first 28 gauge models with a serial number of 0F281. This hard to find (i.e RARE and SCARCE) 28 Gauge Browning Superposed Grade l Field gun features
2-3/4″ chambers has 26.5″ ventilated rib bbls with correct nomenclature on either side of rib, and is choked skeet and skeet. The vent rib features a white (ivory most likely) mid beed and a red front bead. The barrels and receiver feature typical satin bluing with the standard grade action having classic open scroll engraving. This gun features the standard lighter blonde walnut long tang, round knob buttstock ending with the original Browning composition buttplate. The gun is fitted with a rounded field forend. The gun features a single selective gold plated trigger.

CONDITION: Excellent Plus. This gun remains tight although it has been lightly fired. The stock and forend reflect some handling from storage or field such as light dings or very minor scratches on original glossy Browning finish. There is a circular mark in the finish on the right hand side of the stock near the receiver most likely from storage. The stock and forend have no cracks and are all original. Checkering is excellent and barrels/bores are clear and shiny with no pitting noted. Bluing on barrels show the slightest and minimal handling or wear marks. Gun is mechanically crisp and fully functional.
