ANTIQUE MARLIN MODEL 1893 OCTAGON .38-55 CAL. RIFLE CIRCA 1896. All original early rifle with 26” octagon barrel and full length magazine tube. Original Marlin factory elevator rear sight. Original factory nickel blade front sight. Very good plus with 60% original blue on barrel and tube with balance of finish an evenly mixed patina. Frame and loading lever with traces of case hardening with balance turned to a dark smooth patina. Stock and forend in good condition with no dents or scratches. Has all the original screws in good condition. Very tight working order and surprisingly excellent bore with very crisp rifling. Very nice for an antique serial number Model 1893 and particularly desirable and scarce in .38-55 caliber.
