Inv. 6903 Berliner Lubecker G-41 Sniper, Cal. 8mm, Ser. 8638 a.
This is the really scarce manufacturer of these very short lived rifles particularly since this gun has the scarce sniper scope rail. The condition is really quite nice. The gun has retained about 70% of the original factory finish.The gas port section and the barrel bands show the bulk of the fading. The receiver bolt carrier bolt, magazine and trigger group are really quite nice, with about 85% original finish.
There is no rust patches, scratches, or rub marks. Just some normal fading and small little scattered patches of pin pricks. All parts match. Th wood stock and Bakelite hand guard are really in fine condition, with about 50% of the original factory lacquer. There are no chips, splits or dings anywhere. The bore is great, mirror bright with sharp well defined rifling and just a touch of scattered light frost.
The scope mount is a replica, as no original G-41 scope mounts were available to the public. The the scope and scope can are original. The scope is marked, dow/+/zf 4041. The optics are clear and the post reticle functions properly.
It is a rare gun by a rare manufacturer in really nice condition. It should be a great shooter, a great center piece in a collection, and a great investment. $6795.. The gun can be bought without the scope, can and mount for ........$4995
