Reproduction of Dufilho Sword Marked “BOYLE & GAMBLE”
Here we present a Reproduction Dufilho Confederate Sword, marked “BOYLE & GAMBLE”. This sword was made to mimic the unique design of Agruider Dufilho of New Orleans, Louisiana. The most eye-catching part of this sword is the guard, which features a pelican feeding her chicks with a flanking “CS” and laurels. The rest of the sword follows the general pattern of the US Model 1850 Officer’s Sword used extensively by North & South during the conflict. The blade is extensively acid etched with quite linear floral designs and “CSA” surrounded by laurels. The genuine article is quite rare today and demand prices in the thousands. This one is a great option if you want something with the appearance of age without the premium price. Overall condition is good.
