WWI Antique Imperial GERMAN NCO Sword by Eickhorn
Fine Example of a Great War Saber
Here we present a World War I Imperial Germany Army NCO Saber, manufactured circa the early-20th Century in Solingen, Germany by Eickhorn. Use of this design was from about 1890 through the end of World War II, though many of the Third Reich examples will have Nazi eagles on the langet. This sword would have been especially worn for occasions during which dress uniform was required.
The overall condition is fine. The blade is 37-1/4 inches in length and remains bright. The grip is wrapped in celluloid and braided wire. The scabbard is in fine condition and retains 98% of its black finish.
