LARGE Double Edged Fighting Knife
Here we present a Confederate-Style “Palmetto Armory 1861” Fighting Knife. This is a hefty and well-made knife that harkens back to the large knives with which Southern soldiers marched to war. The blade has a spear point profile with a tapering at the middle.The ricasso is marked “PALMETTO/ARMORY/1861”. Cross guard and pommel are massive. The horn scales are smooth and flat, fastened with rivets.
The overall condition is very good. The blade is 12 inches in length and has a mixed patina. The grips are solid and in great shape.
