Winchester Model 1883 (Hotchkiss Repeater) Check out the condition of this beauty! This is a Third Style .45-70 Govt. designed by Benjamin D. Hotchkiss with a unique tube magazine located in the buttstock attached to the receiver. Manufactured in 1884. Wood retains all of the original finish with light handling marks. Barrel, barrel bands and end cap retain 95%+ strong bright blue finish. Frame retains nearly all case coloring the bore is mint. It is U.S. mark with inspector’s initials on the frame and barrel. Strong inspector’s cartouches on either side of grip. Outstanding example that would be a great addition to most any antique Winchester collection.
