This is a very rare rifle (less than 700 made in this configuration).
Has very much upgraded wood with the rare cheekpiece, unaltered but for a drill and tap on the front ring thats been closed and redrilled and tapped for scope mounting. Has an original Lyman #48 receiver sight.
Overall condition is 85% plus with a well repaired air-line crack behind the bolt handle on the side.
Original m70 style butt plate; Deluxe Sedgley rpint checkering patten with the distinctive half moon dieamon behind the rear tang. Metal carries a high percentage of old world rust blue wit the Sedgle proof mark after bluing..30-06 with a bright bore.
A solid honest American "factory custom" rifle in the Griffin and Howe and Hoffman era..old world quality.
