Description:
Inv. 6892   Savage Mdl 24, O/U, Cal. .22 LR. 410 Shot, 3" Chamber, NSN. This  a very rare little "Attic Queen". It is a the very first model, Circa 1935 of this very clever little hunter.

It has all the bells and whistles that over time were deleted. The original factory blue remaining is a conservative 99.99%.

The beautiful case colored frame, which was dropped a few years later is again conservatively 97-98%, possibly due to age fading. The walnut stock, and forearm, also no longer offered is is about 99% of the original factory lacquer. There is a tiny rub mark on the forearm and a few scattered light surface hairline scratches and that's it.

The beautiful black lacquered trigger guard is as iti left the factory, 100%. The best part of this first model is the button on the right side of the frame which allows the shooter to change the the firing pin position without having to cock the hammer back, reach inside and physically move the firing pin. Also note that the barrels are welded together. The current method is just to put a loop fastener to the ends of the barrels without welding them together. Apparently, over the years there were constant changes to reduce the cost of manufacturing. Both Barrels are pristine, The shot gun has a mirror bore, the rifle, sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling, not a touch of frost anywhere.

An genuine "Attic Queen" for the hunter where quality and workmanship are very important. ....$549. Shipped
