Description:
*Accepting trades for Revolutionary War to Civil war guns, artifacts, etc* What I have here is a well used but presentable model 1893 Marlin in 30-30 takedown, with the earliest manufacture date I've come across with this caliber and takedown option. Serial #133577 indicates this piece left the warehouse in 1896. Feel free to throw me an offer, it's hard to put a price on this as its so early and a takedown, so I'm shooting right in the middle of what i see other later productions sell for, if I'm too high or low I'm sure you Marlin collectors will know. Overall condition indicates it was well used in it's day, but the action is still functioning and has a great antique patina. A couple screws are correct modern replacements and are pictured, but those are the only replacement parts on this gun. Buttstock has a slight wiggle with dings and has a very old split that was repaired long ago. Only other notable issue is the loading gate screw is broken off but is still holding the gate secure. Action appears to function as intended. Forestock is tight and secure, as is the magazine and all other parts. Rifling is present but faint. Included in the sale is a nice old wooden case lined with foam. It has dings also with brass corners but it's solid, aesthetically pleasing and useful. Call or email with any questions, I'm not a Marlin guy and am more of a Civil and Revolutionary war fanatic, so if you got an old colt or musket to trade, let me know, even French or British flintlocks of the era, sorry no India muskets though. Free shipping with sign on delivery and tracking to the lower 48, and being an antique can deliver to your door. Please check your local state laws in case there's an exemption with this rule.
