Fine condition rifle, made 1954. One of only a few factory drilled and tapped receivers from 1954. (David Royal's book "A Collectors Guide to the Savage 99 Rifle" describes this small batch of serial numbers, p.80) Blueing, wood finish, case colors are excellent. If only the stock had its original buttplate this example could be worth twice as much (and would remain in my collection) Beautiful 24" barrel and bore, brass rotary mag. Nice clean action interior. 13-3/8" pull over the white line pad. Front sling swivel stud uses the fore-end screw hole, no further modifications detected. Ser#7348xx 300 Savage caliber.
