Description:
Full box of the original 50 rounds loaded with #8 shot for the Winchester Model 1873 rifle and other .38 caliber rifles. 2-piece box has been opened but upper long edge of label still connected, so it opens as a coffin would. Box shows some staining and darkening due to age; also some shelf wear spots, but lettering remains very readable. Box is dated 3-19. Shot cartridges were used by trick shooters and small game hunters.
