Description:
A nice example of the M96 Swedish Mauser (6.5x55mm), made in 1906. Carl Gustafs crest. All parts match ser. no.184xxx. (except cleaning rod). Bore has clean, crisp lands. Has screw-on muzzle cap. Blueing is good, very clean stock has only a few small nicks.. Good leather sling - unknown if officially as-issued.
These rifles were well-maintained, with inletted brass armory inspection plates. They were noted for accuracy. I'm liquidating my collection and want my pieces to go to appreciative homes.
Bayonet & sheath available at an additional price. Bluing good, no corrosion.
