Here's a great early Pre War 70 in scarce .22 Hornet with unaltered chamber and undrilled rear receiver bridge! 24" Barrel. S/N 20*** indicating Mfg. date of 1939. Condition is outstanding, considering it's nearly 80 year lifespan, showing about 96-97% Blue and Varnish with some scattered light use marks. 100% original including all components such as sights, hood, swivels, etc. Bore condition and mechanical fuction are flawless. I have personally verified that this rifle has NOT been reamed out to K Hornet or any other caliber and that all inner components remain 100% correct.
It just doesn't get any better than these early Pre Wars with their rust blued barrels, smooth finished Carbonum Blued receivers, and fine line checkering. They are clearly the finest 70s ever produced (or any other rifle for that matter) and this particular example offered in a rare caliber to boot. Simply the best!
