About Us: With two partners, I own Pawnee Sportsmens Center LLC, near Fort Collins, Colorado. Description:
This is an exceptionally rare Colt Bisley shipped January 11, 1906, to the Copper Queen Mine, Bisbee, Arizona Territory with one other gun. It is a .32 WCF (.32-20) with a 5.5" barrel and factory special order mother of pearl grips. It is in very good condition with some blue and case colors visible. Mechanics are tight and the bore is good with clean, sharp rifling and no pits or corrosion. This was probably not a cowboy gun, but may have been a mine owner's or manager's gun. The holster with it is of the period, with a flap, and made by Royal, and is more of a gentleman's holster as opposed to a cowboy rig.
Accompanying the gun and holster are copies of Copper Queen and Phelps-Dodge stock certificates, a history of the Copper Queen mine, an original post card featuring the Copper Queen company store in Douglas, Arizona, and a summary of Bisley production guns shipped to the Copper Queen.
