Description:
Winchester Model 1866 SRC. Manufactured in 1881, this antique Winchester has seen a lot of use and has no blue finish left on the barrel or magazine tube. The brass frame and butt plate have a nice patina and are in good condition. The bore has rifling but is quite pitted like most of these old black powder guns are. The wood is very good and fits to the metal very nicely considering it is over 135 years old. Some screws are marred and not correct. Works well mechanically. No Winchester collection is complete without a “66 SRC.
