Description:
30 inch barrel in 22 Short with an excellent bore. Features a folding Beeches front sight. No dove tail for rear sight. A Pope folding tang sight. Fitted with a nickel plated Pope lever and palm rest. Nickel plated Schuetzen style buttplate. Schuetzen double set triggers. Also has a heavy weight Pope marked barrel at 32 inches long. Marked on top is "Stevens Pope J Stevens Arms and Tool Co. Chicopee Falls, MA". This barrel has no front sight. Fitted with scope blocks at the rear. 32-40 Pope cartridge caliber with excellent bore. Overall gun is in fine condition with nicely checkered stocks that are crisp and clean. Most original varnish remains and only a few light handling mars. Features original cheek piece. About 95% original barrel blue and 90% case colors starting to fade some on the receiver. The Pope barrel is also fitted with correct breech block, Pope style nickel plated lever and correct ejector. Well equipped and in fine condition. Has mushroom style palm rest which was relocated about an 1 inch forward on the forearm leaving an extra hole where it was originally. Correct all matching numbers. A very neat little rig!
