Description:
Inv. 6941 Japanese Arisaka Paratrooper Type II, Ser. 1308, Cal. 7.7mm. This is a really fine example of the Type II. The gun retains about 85-90% of the original factory finish.
The loss is due mostly to sharp edge silvering and small little clusters of scattered pinpricks. There is certainly no rel rust rub marks or gouges in the metal. The Mum is ground as expected. The receiver, bolt and dust cover all match. The stock is of the usual Asian soft wood and and has several slight surface dings,nicks, and a couple of small chips under the forearm.
The right side does show the line where the top is laminated to the bottom as was the practice for all Arisakas.. it still has about 60-65% of the original lacquer. The white butt plate has grayed substantially. The gun still has the original slings and the rear sight still has the aircraft sights usually missing. The bolt rails, bolt face, and feed ramp show little use. The bore is very bright with sharp distinct rifling and a light scattered frost.
It would make a fine addition to your collection and should be a great investment.......$2395. Shipped
