Description:
Excellent Colt Model 1908 Pocket .380 in its original box. Serial numbered 129660, it was produced in 1939 and is a Type IV with the added magazine safety. The original box numbers to the gun and includes the instructions, hang tag, and Suggestions for Shooting pamphlet. The condition of the gun is near mint, retaining approximately 98+% of its original nickel plated finish. The finish shows very little loss with only a few minor handling marks. The factory pearl grips are also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The pistol is in excellent mechancial condition and the 3-3/4" barrel is perfect inside and out. Of total Colt Model M production, less than 20% were chambered in .380, and less than 10% featured nickel finish. With factory pearl gips and original box, this outfit is a scarce combination of features in high condition. This would make a worthy addition to any serious Colt collection.
