It is fitted with a 24 inch round barrel. It is chambered to shoot the 22 Short, Long and Long Rifle. The bore is bright and clean. The action is tight. The take down feature is also tight with no marring or damage from poor assembly. The rust bluing is very strong with 97% on the barrel and reciever. The reciever has a few light speckles on the left side. The magazine tube has 80% coverage due to action wear. The sights are original to this Winchester. The top tang is correctly drilled and tapped for a Tang Sight. The forend is the correct early small style forend. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage. The wood retains 98% of the original finish. The butt plate is original to the stock. This is a very nice early Model 61 Winchester. Most of these early guns have seen much shooting and use.
