This is a really cool and unique Ruger Ranch Rifle (Mini-14) that has been tuned and customized by the famous Chief AJ. John "Chief AJ" Huffer holds numerous shooting records and became well known as an exhibition shooter who shot wooden blocks tossed in the air with a customized Ruger 10/22 rifle for hours without missing. Chief AJ soon started customizing Ruger 10/22s for shooters wanting one that performed like his. He would tune the action and trigger and put his famous indian head logo on the stock, as well as offering other upgrades at an additional cost basis. Chief AJ soon started offering accurized Mini-14s/Ranch Rifles as well. This is one of those Chief AJ Ruger Ranch Rifles. It is a stainless model and features all the normal features plus the Chief AJ options which include a harmonic tuned muzzle brake, a tuned action and trigger, a custom top handguard with a full length piccatinny rail, a stainless steel tube Weaver "Micro Trac" 6 power scout scope, and the famous Chief AJ "Indian Head" logo etched into the barrel. This example is serial number 196-60735 and was made in 2001. It is in excellent condition inside and out. The stainless steel finish is free from any staining or imperfections and there are only some tiny handling marks visible if closely inspected. The bore in this Chief AJ Ranch Rifle is perfect and bright, with no pitting or erosion. The synthetic stock is also in excellent shape with no damage or wear to speak of. The 6-power Weaver Model Micro Trac "Scout" scope with extended eye relief is in excellent shape like the rifle, with clear optics and all the controls 100% functional. It holds zero perfectly. This unique Ruger Ranch Rifle customized by Chief AJ would be a great addition to any gun collection and would certainly be the envy of many at the range!
