Payment Types Accepted: money order/cashiers checks Description: Model 1866 2nd Allin conversion 50/70 in overall good plus Cond. This is the gun used in the last battles of Red Clouds war at the 1867 fights at fort Phil Kearny, fort C,F. Smith and the Powder River campaign. Gun is complete and original except the civil war is in place and should be an 1866 cleaning rod. Lockplate has good markings of 1864 and eagle over U.S. Springfield. Breech is marked model 1866 over eagle head. Barrel is smooth with some original bright finnish with age stains. Rifled bore is good. Full civil war stock is sound and solid with an old fracture at the wrist that is not that visable. I bought this gun cheap as the hammer would not cock. I removed the lockplate and trigger guard, made adjustments and it now works wonderfull. A good looking 1866 at good price. SOLD Antique: Yes |
