Description:
This little Duane Wiebe-built rifle is the ultimate elegant stalking rifle. It is in caliber 7-30 Waters and handles bullets from 120-grain to 160-grain, with 120 or 140-grain Nosler Ballistic-Tip bullets being ideal and grouping less than an inch at 100 yards. Recoil is negligible, making this a great gun for a child/grandchild or recoil-sensitive hunter. It is built on a thick-wall Martini cadet action to which Duane added a safety, which is the lever visible on the right side of the action. The barrel is a 20-inch Krieger barrel which is machined octagon-to-round, with an integral full-length rib and quarter rib with a single standing leaf rear sight. The barrel also has integral scope mounts, front sight base, and sling swivel base. The front sight is unique in that it has two beads on a rocker that are of different heights for different ranges. The scope is a Leupold 2x7 compact in quick-detachable Warne rings. The rifle as-pictured with the scope mounted weighs 6 pounds according to my bathroom scale. The rifle is sold with reloading dies and brass, and two boxes of Federal factory ammo.
