Description:
Original Early Japanese Arisaka Type 97 Sniper Rifle in excellent condition. Original finish, all matching including dust cover (which is rare), not import marked, no rust or pitting on metal, great bore, functions fine.
Regular Arisaka rifles had one proof mark on the bottom of the stock, while Arisaka sniper rifles had two proof marks on the bottom of the stock and one proof mark on the top of the buttplate which is the case for this rifle as can be seen in the pictures.
This rifle can be purchased with the scope, or they can be purchased separately. The price for the rifle by itself is $3,495. The price for the scope by itself is $2,495. If you purchase the rifle and the scope together you would get a $300 discount for a total of $5,690.
The scope (comes with the case) was originally designed for T-97 sniper rifles. Very early T-99 sniper rifles used cut down T-97 scopes that were marked "99", but still had 2.5x magnification. The standard T-99 scope would have 4x magnification. Therefore, this scope would be correct for very early T-99 sniper rifle, but can still be used for T-97. It's very hard to find a real early T-99 sniper rifle, but it's even harder to find an original correct scope for it.
I'm not a dealer. I'm a private collector and I'm currently thinning out my collection. 3 months layaway with 25% down is available. I accept personal checks, but due to the POLICY OF MY BANK it takes 7 business days from the day of the deposit for them to clear.
