Description:
This is a nice World War 1 Artillery Luger manufactured by DWM in 1917. It has 90% of the original factory blue finish remaining, and a beautiful bore in excellent condition. This Artillery Luger has all matching parts except for the sideplate and trigger, which are World War 1 unnumbered armorer's replacement parts. These parts were carried by the units/regiments armorers in the field and used to replace broken or missing parts. The magazine is a correct wood-bottom WW1 magazine but is not numbered to this gun. This is an early 1917 production gun as it has a nice polish and "fine-tune" adjustable sights front and rear, which were discontinued later in that year. The original grips are in good condition and are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. Everything on this DWM Artillery Luger works 100% like the day it left the factory. The action goes into battery properly and all of the controls work as they were designed to. This pistol would make a great addition to any Luger or WW1 pistol collection, and would make an excellent gun for someone who enjoys shooting their pieces. It shows just enough wear that as long as proper care is taken, firing this Artillery Luger at the range would not hurt it's value. Priced at $1995.00, it is nearly 1/2 the price of an all-matching gun.
