Colt 1911 U S army pistol. 45 acp. Slide and frame match I will explain this later once I add the photos.
This is an all Colt original pistol other than the mag for a great price. It should have a two tone magazine but does not. Inspector is eagle over S14. Serial number is 406460. The hammer, slide stop and safety all checkering match.The front strap and mainspring housing and grip safety all have loss of finish but there is no pits or rust. If you look at the pictures you will see the finish has the same splash marks on the forward portion of the slide and the same discoloration on the frame. Both are on the right side of the pistol. It may have been a cleaning solution that left these marks. But that is just a guess. The 1942 Boyt holster gos with it because thats how I bought it. There is also a name carved into the back of the holster. I am a C&R license holder so it can be shipped to your C&R address or though your ffl. The gun does not rattle so I believe it was issued to the person who took very good care. Call with questions, You can have up to 90 days to pay it off. There are no returns on lay a way.
