LIKE NEW STILL IN WRAP & BOX BRITISH SMLE NO.4 MK.2 OR MARK II .303BRIT FAZAKERLY (NOT FTR) RIFLE, CIRCA 1955. Serial number "A160XX" with "UF-55" prefix (lot and year). Rifle still in grease paper (as well as wax paper)and matching box from Century Arms with original bayonet in same. These were made NEW(not refurbishments) at Fazakerley Royal Ordnance Factory so not an upgrade. This one dated 1955 so last year of production for any SMLE's. The No4 Mk II (or Mk2) was adopted in 1949, with production at ROF-Fazakerley in July, 1949 until 1955. Fazakerley was the only plant to manufacture the No4 Mk2. Seen here and there but usually not still wrapped with original box.
