Mid-19th Century ANTIQUE Large Bore Percussion Pistol
With .47 Caliber Bore
Here we present an antique Large Bore Percussion Pistol, manufactured in the mid-19th Century. This pistol would have been worn inside the waistband or under a belt. This pistol features a fully octagonal barrel of about 4 inches with a gaping .47 caliber bore. The back action lock was modestly engraved. The trigger guard includes a place to rest the middle finger.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces are dark with age with weathering throughout. The stock shows much handling and a few old chips. The bore is dark. The action on this pistol is functioning.
