Union Manufacturing Company, Richmond, Virginia bolster conversion of a Harper’s Ferry U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock to percussion at the beginning of the civil War. .69 caliber smoothbore 42” barrel. All original and complete except the ramrod which is a modern replacement. Lock in working order and with excellent markings “HARPERS/FERRY/1819” and “EAGLE/US”. Stock with wear but faint outline of the original cartouche is still visible to the rear of the side plate. Lock in working order and reasonably good bore.
