Description:
A great example of this exceedingly difficult to find rifle! An all original Winchester Model 70 National Match 30/06 with the correct components and hardware. S/N 255*** Mfg. 1953. Scribed S/N on bolt body is legible and matching. 24" STANDARD weight barrel which fits precisely into the target stock's barrel channel with no filling or other monkey business. Also has the correct and mandatory LOW PROFILE integral front sight ramp which was UNGROOVED for a sight hood. Features include Lyman 48WH receiver sight with large aperture disc, Lyman 77 globe front sight, Lyman 12S filler plug in barrel dovetail, factory installed scope blocks, correct handguard and wide swivels with 1 1/4" leather sling. Condition of Blue is outstanding showing almost no wear, including the bottom metal. Wood has numerous light compression marks and dings scattered about, but nothing deep or distracting. Overall, the rifle presents very well and would make a fine addition to any collection of authentic and scarce style Model 70s.
