Description:
This beautiful and classy rifle is in excellent all-original condition. It certainly appears to have had a very easy life, and has been well-cared for since leaving the Ruger factory in 1985. The original factory gloss blue finish rates 98-99%, and the bore is minty and bright. The rifling still shows sharp lands and grooves, and there is zero pitting, erosion, or imperfections visible in the 26" inch barrel. The integral quarter-rib factory scope base is like-new. The original checkered American Walnut stock set is equally as nice, with only a very few superficial marks visible under close inspection. The buttstock has a Pachmayer recoil pad installed on it that pulls 14 & 1/8th inches to the end of the pad. It is chambered in the very powerful and flat-shooting .338 Winchester Magnum cartridge. This belted magnum cartridge is capable of taking anything in North America with ease including the American Grizzly bear. These rifles are well known for their superb accuracy and their simple yet extremely strong design. Add a nice scope to this rifle and it will be ready to go to the range or the woods. This Ruger #1-B is as good as it gets for a single-shot rifle, and is truly without equal in this price range.
