This is a very nice all-matching Yugoslavian military Model 59/66 SKS complete with the original sling and oiler. The second of the Yugo SKS designs, the 59/66 added a integral 22mm grenade launcher with a flip-up ladder sight and gas cut-off swicth , as well as flip-up tritium night sights to the original 1959 design and was introduced in 1966 as the model name implies. The Model 59/66 also has an 11.5" inch folding blade bayonet and a solid hardwood stock. This model has very nice fit and finish and is constructed of all milled and machined parts. Many SKS buffs consider these some of the finest SKS's made by any country. This particular example is in very good condition overall and the action still has a lot of original cosmoline in it. All of the numbered parts match including the stock. The import mark on this rifle is on the underside of the barrel, hidden by the bayonet "handle". It is lightly struck and is not an eyesore like many others. The original factory blue finish is still intact with very little wear and tear. As you can see from the pictures, this rifle has a nice uniform patina with only minor imperfections, mainly from light surface rust on the top cover. The bore in this Yugo is perfect. It is bright and clean with no pitting, erosion, or imperfections visible of any kind. The original stock is in great shape, with no cracks, repairs, or major damage. There are only some small handling/storage marks in the stock, and the stock does have the original cleaning kit in the trap. Everything on this M59/66 works 100% like the day it left the factory. All of the controls work perfectly, and the action is smooth, tight, and goes into battery with authority. This Yugo comes with an original leather sling and a brass oiler in the original leather pouch as well. If you have been looking for a nice all-original and matching Yugo M59/66 for your collection this one would be a superb choice.
