A Colt Officers Model Target .38 Special with the rare 4” barrel in the original box. This is the most difficult barrel length to find in the Officers Model Target and they seldom show up for sale. The gun remains in 95-96% condition with normal handling marks. The gun locks up perfectly and the bore is excellent. The finish is original as are the checkered walnut grips. The bottom of the butt is marked with the year 1987 and the number 13330 which may have been a police stamping. The bottom edge of the grips shows eight small notches, four on each side at the front portion of the grips. You can assume what these were for. These short barrel pre-war Officers Model Target revolvers are seldom encountered and are very desirable in any collection. This is a 3rd Model Officers Model Target and serializes to 1937. A very desirable pre-war Colt Officers Model target with a special marking that would fit nicely in any collection. I offer a three day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
