Description:
26" SxS fluid steel barrels with solid flat rib, bold front bead, 2 folding gold-lined express sights engraved for 50 & 150, and 200 yards respectively, hand-matted from rear sight to breech, swivel stud, and with doll's head extension. Figured walnut stock with lever-release splinter forend, classic point-pattern checkering, horn capped pistol grip, vacant brass initial oval, beaded pancake cheekpiece, rear swivel stud, and Silvers red rubber recoil pad. Border-engraved, back-action sidelocks with rebounding hammers, Jones underlever, extended tangs: the top over the comb and the bottom to the grip cap, and folding tang peep sight. Pull: 14 3/4" from articulated front trigger to end of pad. Drop: 1 5/8" - 2 5/8". Cast-off: 1/4". Weight: 12lbs, 14oz. London black powder proofed. Charge: 7 drams. Built 1894. With Holland weapon history and copy of order book entry. Major components numbered 2 [of a one-time pair]. Tight on the face. 99%blue. Traces original casehardening colors. Bore with some scattered pitting but generally mirror-bright and with crisp rifling. With 80 new brass cases headstamped Holland & Holland, custom sizing-decapping die and shellholder, and a supply of both Woodleigh FMJ and Cutting Edge solids. In modern oak & leather trunk case with extensive accessories and maker's label.
