Merkel 147 SLE Side Lock Ejector, 12 bore, 2 3/4" chambers, double triggers, straight grip, 28" barrels with slightly concave rib, fixed chokes at .007 IC and .024 IM, 7 lbs. 4 oz., 14 1/2" LOP to original butt plate, 1 3/4" DAC, 2 3/4" DAH, 1/8" cast off, original coin finish, Greener crossbolt third bite extension, side clips, beautiful ornately engraved fences, cocking indicators, very high level of hand engraving with game scene showing ducks and dog on right and pheasant and hunting on left, nicely figured stock of straight grain English walnut, splinter forend. Barrel bores are clean, shiny, no pits, frosting or marks. Ejectors are in time and strong. Solid gun, action is tight, no wiggles, and barrels are on face. Checkering is excellent. Overall outstanding condition with just a few very minor handling marks on stock. Original box included. A true side lock, not a side plate BLE. Excellent pheasant gun, great balance. Looking to reduce my collection. Purchased in 2012 but barely used. Buyer pays actual shipping costs. 3 day buyer inspection period from date of delivery.
