The outdoor knife was introduced in 1929 and discontinued in 1941.
The rimmed butt is the rarer of the 2 handle styles.
This is the exact knife that was featured in the photo on page 54 of THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MARBLE'S KNIVES & SPORTING COLLECTIBLES by Arni Dunathan.
I have pointed out the most obvious markers in the last photo.
Awesome, vintage Marbles USA, very high quality, fixed blade knife.
This model is hard to find in this condition, made circa 1929-41.
This knife has the distinction of being the only one approved by Webster for the use of a nontraditional blade. Blade is in good condition, with a few small flecks of discoloration.
Beautiful handle made of walnut, half tang blade is pinned by brass pins.
Well struck, 3 line Marbles stamp on the ricasso.
Knife measures 8-1/2" long with a 4-1/2" blade (measured from the tip to the handle)
