Description:
Superb example of this exceedingly scarce firearm. This is the elusive Remington 870SC grade Skeet 20 ga pump action shotgun. The S/N is S090***X believed to be manufactured in 1969. The barrel is 26" long with a ventilated rib wearing ivory front and silver mid beads. 2 3/4" Chamber. Choked SKEET. Length of Pull is about 13 7/8" to factory issued rubber pad.This beautiful shotgun features very nicely figured special grade stocks with sharp hand cut checkering. Condition is near mint inside and out with only extremely minor marks showing anywhere besides a small scuff on the aluminum trigger guard which could be very easily touched up with a quality aluminum coloring agent or high end enamel propellor paint if desired. Mechanical function and bore are of course excellent. For those less familiar with this model, please note that the small, slightly off color circles visible on upper L side of receiver are NOT plugged holes!! They are part of normal 870 production and anchor the internal ejector mechanism inside the action.
I owned one of these at least 15 years ago and have been vaguely looking for another to replace it... until now. They are very hard to find! Don't let this one get away.
